Amjad Refai has taught Arabic language and culture in Hong Kong universities and institutions since 2013 and joined HKU in 2019. Before moving into Arabic language education, he lectured for more than a decade in Egyptology, ancient history, culture and language.

Research Interests

Teaching Arabic as a foreign language; intercultural development; culture in the language classroom; development of Arabic studies in Hong Kong.
